Story
Dear friends,
Many of you will know that a few years ago we lost a very special person in our lives. There's not much to say really aside from the fact that Maryanne was awesome and we think about her every day. I have started training for some running events in the NT and the first event is the NT city to surf on June 2. As part of the race and other events over the next year or so, I have an opportunity to raise $ for a worthy cause.
Epilepsy Australia is an organisation that works with all people affected by epilepsy and particularly focuses on providing support for families.
I hope that you will find a few bucks to donate to "Fatmanrunning" - who knows... I might even get fit in the process.
My plan is to run the city to surf and Darwin half marathon in July and then plan the next challenge after that.... Very keen on the Australian Outback Marathon at Uluru next year too so stay tuned for updates on events.
Thanks and happy running!
Anthony "Fatmanrunning" Contarino.
Activity
Epilepsy Australia
Epilepsy is a disorder of brain function that takes the form of recurring seizures. As the world’s most common serious brain disorder it currently affects some 230,000 Australians.
At Epilepsy Australia we provide vital epilepsy first aid information and education to all those living with epilepsy and other seizure disorders.
We are committed to raising community awareness and understanding of the very real issues faced by those living with epilepsy. The unpredictable nature of seizures can force people to stay at home, fearful of a seizure occurring in public.
Would you know what to do if you saw someone having a seizure?
Epilepsy Australia’s goal is for every household in Australia to be seizure aware.
By supporting Epilepsy Australia you can help us achieve our goal.
